Role Overview:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and service-minded AX Café Associate to support daily operations at the Atlas Experience Café, a unique, curated space situated adjacent to our retail showroom, offering grab-and-go snacks, hot and cold beverages, and a selection of Atlas merchandise. In this role, you will work closely with the Retail Concierge Manager to deliver an exceptional experience for our customers and employees alike. Whether you're crafting a perfectly pulled espresso, maintaining a spotless service counter, or connecting warmly with a customer, you take pride in the small details that make a big difference.

Key Responsibilities

Café Service & Operations

Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including espresso-based drinks, drip coffee, teas, and seasonal specialties to café quality standards.

Ensure grab-and-go food items are consistently stocked, fresh, and attractively displayed throughout the shift.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café counter, equipment, and surrounding area in compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

Assist with daily opening and closing duties as directed by the Café Lead.

Perform routine equipment upkeep and report any maintenance needs promptly.

Customer & Employee Experience

Greet every customer and team member warmly, creating a welcoming and energizing café atmosphere.

Take accurate orders, handle cash transactions, and process payments using the point-of-sale system, following all cash handling and security protocols.

Respond to customer inquiries and feedback professionally, escalating concerns to the Café Lead as needed.

Support an inclusive, positive environment that reflects the Atlas brand and values.

Inventory & Merchandising Support

Assist the Café Lead with inventory counts, stock rotation, and restocking of café supplies, merchandise, and grab-and-go items.

Ensure café merchandise is accurately priced, neatly arranged, and visually appealing on shelves and displays.

Flag low stock levels and product quality concerns to the Café Lead in a timely manner.

Standards & Compliance

Follow all established café procedures, recipes, and portioning guidelines consistently.

Adhere to all food safety, health, and sanitation standards at all times.

Participate in training sessions on café equipment (including Jura coffee systems) and support customer demonstrations as directed.

Cross-train to support the Customer Service Representative (CSR) function when required.

Qualifications & Skills

Previous experience in a café, coffee shop, food service, or hospitality environment is an asset.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Smart Serve certification required (or willingness to obtain prior to start).

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage warmly with customers and teammates.

Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including mandatory Saturday availability.

Detail-oriented with a commitment to cleanliness, accuracy, and presentation standards.

Ability to multitask and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.

Basic mathematical aptitude for cash handling and order processing.
