Vice President, Operations – Québec Region Location: Greater Montréal Area (Hybrid – 3 days onsite) Compensation: $160,000–$190,000 base + executive bonus

About the Opportunity Envy Consulting Group has been retained by a leading Canadian retirement living organization to recruit a Vice President, Operations for Québec. Reporting to the executive leadership team, the VP Operations will oversee a growing portfolio of retirement residences across Québec. This executive will be responsible for operational excellence, financial performance, resident satisfaction, team engagement, regulatory compliance, and the successful integration of future acquisitions. This role requires a seasoned multi-site leader with deep experience in retirement living, seniors housing, healthcare, hospitality, or other highly regulated service environments.

Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership Provide strategic oversight for multiple retirement communities throughout Québec Ensure consistent execution of operational standards and resident experience initiatives Drive operational excellence, quality outcomes, and service delivery across the portfolio Support Executive Directors in achieving operational and financial objectives Financial Performance Oversee community budgets, forecasting, and financial performance Drive NOI improvement through operational efficiencies and disciplined cost management Monitor key operational and financial KPIs Partner closely with finance leadership on planning and performance reviews Leadership & Team Development Lead and develop a team of Executive Directors and regional leaders Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement Support succession planning and leadership development initiatives Attract, retain, and develop high-performing talent Resident Experience & Quality Ensure exceptional resident satisfaction and service standards Monitor quality indicators and implement improvement initiatives Support communities in resolving resident and family concerns Promote a culture centered on resident well-being and care Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with all applicable provincial regulations and company policies Maintain readiness for inspections, audits, and accreditation requirements Manage risk mitigation strategies and operational controls Growth & Acquisition Integration Support due diligence and operational integration of newly acquired communities Lead change management initiatives across the portfolio Identify opportunities to improve scalability and operational consistency Strategic Partnership Collaborate with executive leadership on organizational strategy and growth initiatives Work closely with Sales, Finance, Human Resources, and Marketing leaders Contribute to long-term planning and portfolio optimization efforts Qualifications 10+ years of progressive operational leadership experience Multi-site leadership experience within retirement living, senior housing, healthcare, hospitality, or related sectors Strong financial and operational management expertise Proven track record leading large teams through growth and change Experience managing P&L responsibility across multiple locations Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills Bilingual French/English strongly preferred Ability to travel regularly throughout Québec Why Join Executive leadership role with significant strategic influence Opportunity to lead a growing Québec portfolio Exposure to acquisitions, integration, and expansion initiatives Highly visible role within a rapidly scaling organization Competitive executive compensation package with bonus opportunity Opportunity to shape the future of senior living across Québec
