About the role
Position Summary:
The Assistant General Manager will contcontributes to all restaurant operations and is responsible for several functions including but not limited to: working directly with the General Manager overseeing daily operations, managing staff, employee training, inventory control and budgeting ensuring company policy and standards are continuously met through direct customer interaction. Must have a continued presence in the restaurant and ensure the front of house and back of house teams are supported through thoughtful planning and execution.

Compensation:
· Annual salary: $45,000 - $50,000 depending on experience

Responsibilities:
· Estimate inventory requirements and prodcut/labor costs
· Supervise restaurant staff activities
· Work as part of the restaurant service team
· Assist in equipment purchases and repairs
· Recruit and manage restaurant staff
· Rectify arising problems or complaints
· Perform administrative duties
· Comply with AHS Health & Safety regulations
· Create and maintain staff schedules
· Work in partnership with other leads and managers to ensure a respectful workplace
· Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
· Perform other responsibilities as assigned
Job Requirements:
· Excellent record of restaurant experience
· 1 yr+ experience with demonstrated success in a comparable role
· Direct customer interactions ensuring company standards and policy are constantly met.
· Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
· Capable of delegating multiple tasks
· Communication and leadership skills
· Working knowledge of various computer software programs (Excel, restaurant management software, POS)
· Maintain composure and professionalism, ensuring restaurant operations are supported and prepared for peak hours
· Flexible, willing to work a variety of hours, including days, evenings as well as weekends and holidays, based on the business needs
· An aptitude for identifying and creating solutions to address changing operational needs
· Demonstrate sound judgement and take decisive, appropriate actions
· Provide training, coaching, mentorship, motivation and direction to all restaurant staff, continually striving to develop and upskill staff in all areas of culinary and leadership skills
· Experience handling employee issues/concerns and executing performance management procedures including performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and terminations
· Willingness to obtain management and food certifications
· Ability to meet moderate physical demands, including lifting, bending, climbing, and long periods of standing or walking and lifting 50lbs or more
· Over the age of 18
Job Schedule:
The Assistant General Manager will work afternoons and evenings Thursday ? Monday receiving Tuesday & Wednesday as assigned days off.
