Job Summary
The Rudding Park team's core purpose is to create timeless memories and instinctive care in exceptional spaces.
The main objective of this role will be to work on painting and enhancing our guest space and public areas including all areas of the resort.
Key Responsibilities
Interior decorative repairs and maintenance. Working with the Maintenance Manager to ensure work is completed according to the requirements; Assist the existing maintenance and housekeeping team with painting and decorating guest rooms and public space Taking great care to prepare the surrounding area, including covering fixtures and furniture; Preparing painting surfaces, including removing old paint, filling holes and cracks and washing walls; Carefully choosing and applying paint, varnishing and other finishes, hanging wallpapers and other decorative products; Cleaning up painting tools and supplies, replacing fixtures and rearranging furniture after completing the project Complete any decorating schedule on time and to the required standard.
GENERAL
Maintain a high standard of dress and personal hygiene. Be pleasant and helpful to all staff, and bright and cheerful to guests. When needed, provide assistance to guests and employees. Promote continuous improvement in the level of quality and guest care provided by the business and make proposals/suggestions where applicable. Be responsible for Health and Safety as an individual and also to work colleagues, guests and the business, reporting concerns through the Health and Safety processes and procedures. Ensure continuous professional development of self, including attending required training courses and seeking means of developing within the business Promote continuous improvement in the level of quality and guest care provided by the business and make proposals/suggestions where applicable Respect colleagues and the working environment at all times. Ensure high standard of dress and self-presentation within the working environment Undertake any other duties commensurate within the position for which you are qualified.

A privately-owned luxury hotel, Rudding Park has 90 bedrooms and suites, a destination spa, two restaurants and a kitchen garden, private cinema, two golf courses and meetings and events venue. Set in 300 acres of landscaped gardens and woodland, Rudding Park is one of the most beautiful Harrogate hotels.
