Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Retail Supervisor to support the daily operations of our retail store. This role is responsible for maintaining high standards of customer service, ensuring smooth store operations, and supporting strong team performance. This role involves guiding, training, and supporting retail staff while working with store management to meet sales and operational goals. The Retail Supervisor also helps maintain accurate inventory, proper product presentation, and compliance with company, food safety, and workplace safety standards. As a key support to store leadership, the Retail Supervisor leads by example, helps create a positive work environment, and encourages strong customer engagement. This role requires solid leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills to ensure efficient store performance in a fast-paced retail setting. Key Responsibilities Supervise, mentor, and support retail team members to maintain consistent performance and customer service quality. Train new employees on store procedures, product knowledge, and customer service standards, while providing ongoing coaching and performance feedback. Assign and monitor daily tasks to ensure smooth store operations across all shifts. Support store management in achieving sales targets by promoting products, seasonal items, and sales initiatives. Deliver excellent customer service and resolve customer complaints in a professional and timely manner. Manage staff scheduling and coordinate shift coverage to support operational needs. Oversee inventory control, including stock rotation, restocking, and reporting discrepancies. Operate POS systems accurately and handle cash, debit, and credit transactions including end-of-day reconciliation. Prepare operational reports and maintain accurate store records as required. Maintain store cleanliness, food safety compliance, and sanitation standards. Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and company policies. Contribute to social media content, e-commerce updates, and promotional activities when required. Perform other duties as required to support retail operations. Qualifications & Requirements Proven experience in retail or customer service supervision or leadership roles Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-focused Experience with POS systems and cash handling is preferred Familiarity with social media or online retail operations is considered an asset Core Competencies Leadership and team development Customer service excellence Problem solving and decision making Time management and multitasking Adaptability and operational accountability Lines of Communication Reports directly to the Director of Retail Operations Coordinates with store management, retail staff, and corporate support teams Communicates with customers, vendors, and suppliers as required Physical & Working Conditions Standing for extended periods Lifting up to 50 lbs.
