We take pride in a friendly, supportive, and team-oriented work environment where every team member is valued and plays a meaningful role in our day-to-day success. If you enjoy working with food, building relationships, and being part of a close-knit team — this is the place for you.
The Role
Fraser Valley Specialty Poultry is seeking an experienced and dedicated Shipping and Logistics Coordinator to support daily shipping, warehouse, inventory and order-fulfillment activities.
This is a hands-on position that includes order picking, product handling, pallet movement and warehouse organization. The employee will also communicate with the Order Desk, Sales and Production teams and provide Order Desk backup when required.
Key Responsibilities
Shipping and Logistics
- Pick, prepare and stage customer orders accurately and within required cut-off times.
- Check product codes, quantities, weights and order details before shipment.
- Report shortages, damaged products and order discrepancies to the appropriate team.
- Load, unload and move products using approved warehouse equipment.
- Organize finished goods and maintain clean and safe shipping, cooler and freezer areas.
- Coordinate daily shipping priorities with the manager, Order Desk, Sales and Production teams.
- Follow up on incomplete orders, special orders and warehouse transfers.
- Complete required shipping, inventory and transfer documents.
- Assist with monthly fresh and frozen warehouse inventory scans.
- Investigate and report inventory discrepancies.
- Follow FIFO procedures and monitor damaged, short-dated or unidentified products.
- Complete daily equipment and temperature checks.
- Report equipment breakdowns, safety concerns and temperature issues.
- Follow company food-safety, cold-chain and workplace-safety procedures.
- Assist with training new shipping employees when requested.
Order Desk Backup
- Enter and update customer orders in the order-management system.
- Review product quantities, delivery dates and special instructions.
- Print pick lists, invoices and delivery documents.
- Check inventory availability and report shortages.
- Follow up with Shipping and Production regarding incomplete orders.
- Refer pricing, credit and account issues to the appropriate manager.
What We're Looking For
- Previous shipping, warehouse, inventory or order-fulfillment experience is preferred.
- Basic computer and data-entry skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet shipping deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work in refrigerated and freezer areas.
- Ability to safely perform physical warehouse duties.
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin or Cantonese is considered an asset.
Preferred Certifications

- WHMIS or food-safety training
Why Join FVSP?
- Work directly with a passionate, experienced team in the food industry
- Family-run company with a long-standing reputation and loyal customer base
- Meaningful role where your contributions make a direct daily impact
- Real career pathways — we promote from within and invest in training.
- Hands-on role where your attention to detail keeps customers happy and product safe.
- A respectful, team-first culture that values a positive attitude and long-term fit.
- Extended Health Benefits (Including, but not Limited to Chiropractors, Massage Therapy), Routine eye exam coverage, Dental, Life & Dependent Life insurance, Employee Assistance Program, Travel Insurance, Long Term Disability, and an annual Health/Lifestyle Spending Account).

About Fraser Valley Specialty Poultry
OUR FAMILY LOVES TO FARM AND PRODUCE GOOD FOOD. That’s our motto, but it’s not just words to us. We’ve farmed in the Fraser Valley for five generations. Being connected to the land, living together and working with our animals and fields – that’s what the good life means to us. It also means sharing the good food we grow, and seeing what other families create for their dinner table.
FROM OUR FARM TO YOUR FAMILY. Everything is done on our farm, and sent straight to you. We take care of every aspect of raising top quality poultry From laying eggs, to raising chickens and ducks, to butchering, packaging, and shipping, everything is done from our farm. We call it “full circle” farming. When you order poultry from us, you know that everything was raised, processed, and packaged for you in the Fraser Valley, all at the same location at our family farm. We go above and beyond the rules and regulations for health and safety, including daily sanitation of our plant, sanitized work outfits for our employees, and training in hand-washing with the addition of protective gloves.
BEST PRACTICES IN ANIMAL WELFARE. We control every step the goes into raising our specialty poultry, and we care about giving our flocks the best living conditions possible. When you allow your birds to thrive, the result is a top-quality product. Every detail is important to us. That’s why we feed our flocks Canadian whole grains raised by Canadian farmers, we provide fresh water direct from our aquifer (no city water for our birds), and lay down fresh wood-chip bedding. Every single kind of poultry we produce is free run, and enjoys spacious cage-free barns with plenty of natural light. There are no added hormones, animal byproducts in any of our poultry. The health of our birds are monitored constantly.
