With sales and manufacturing offices in Port Moody, BC, and additional manufacturing in Waterloo, ON & Shakopee, MN. The company’s products are trusted by local schools and community centers.

Position Summary The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading the successful execution of complex construction, manufacturing, and installation projects from project handoff through final closeout. This role also provides leadership and oversight for daily office operations to ensure administrative efficiency, communication flow, and operational alignment across departments. This position serves as a key operational leader coordinating internal departments, customers, subcontractors, suppliers, office administration, site visits and installation teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, solutions-driven leader with strong communication skills, operational discipline, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Experience in construction, manufacturing, or specialty contracting is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & Execution • Lead assigned projects from sales turnover through project completion and customer acceptance. • Develop and manage project schedules, site visits, deliverables, milestones, and critical path activities. • Coordinate project scope, specifications, drawings, and execution requirements with internal and external stakeholders. • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with customer expectations. • Identify project risks proactively and implement mitigation strategies.

Office & Operational Management • Oversee daily office operations to ensure efficient workflow, communication, and administrative support across the organization. • Support coordination between project management, sales, finance, warehouse, and installation teams. • Assist in establishing and maintaining operational procedures, reporting structures, and office standards. • Help drive accountability, organization, and operational consistency within the office environment. • Support leadership with internal communication, meeting coordination, reporting, and operational follow-through. • Assist with resource planning and administrative prioritization to support project execution.

Customer Management • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle. • Build strong working relationships with architects, contractors, consultants, municipal stakeholders, facility owners, and subcontractors. • Lead project meetings, progress updates, and status reporting. • Manage customer expectations while maintaining professionalism and responsiveness. Operations Coordination • Coordinate closely with manufacturing, procurement, logistics, engineering/CAD, warehouse, and installation teams. • Ensure material releases, production schedules, shipping timelines, and installation readiness align with project requirements. • Collaborate with field installation supervisors to support successful site execution. • Support continuous operational improvements and standardized project management processes. Financial/Contract Management • Monitor project budgets, margins, labor costs, change orders, and invoicing milestones. • Review contracts, scopes, purchase orders, and subcontractor agreements for project compliance. • Manage change orders, claims, and project documentation accurately and efficiently. • Support forecasting and reporting requirements for leadership.

Quality, Safety & Compliance • Ensure compliance with company safety policies, customer requirements, and regulatory standards. • Maintain high standards for project documentation, quality control, and closeout procedures. • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to project delivery and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications Education & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Business, Operations, or related field preferred. • Minimum 7–10 years of project management experience in construction, manufacturing, specialty contracting, architectural products, or related industries. • Previous experience managing office operations, operational administration, or team coordination preferred. • PMP certification considered an asset. • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with varying complexity and timelines.

Skills & Competencies • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • High attention to detail with strong financial and operational acumen. • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and field teams. • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills. • Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite, project scheduling software, and project management platforms. • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contracts. Preferred Experience • Experience with sports facilities, arenas, gymnasiums, or specialty construction products. • Knowledge of manufacturing-to-installation project workflows. • Experience coordinating field installation crews and subcontractors across multiple regions. • Familiarity with procurement processes, logistics coordination, inventory-driven project execution.

Work Environment & Travel • Combination of office, warehouse/manufacturing, and jobsite environments. • Ability to travel periodically to customer sites, project meetings, and installations across Canada. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment rojects. Relevant post-secondary education in engineering, construction management, business, or a related field. Proven experience managing multi-phase construction or infrastructure projects, ideally in sports or recreation facilities. Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally. Ability to prioritize, make data-informed decisions, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with project management software and standard tools (e.g., MS Project, Excel, or similar platforms).
