Job Profile
The House Person provides a superior level of guest service standards including ownership of Delta standards and maintaining the high standard of cleanliness throughout the hotel and surrounding property.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Cleaning public areas (pool deck, terrace, gym, all public washrooms, elevators, elevator landings, staff room, staff change rooms, restaurant, lobby area, banquet rooms and any other public space) according to task list which include but not limited to:
- Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming floors
Garbage & recycling removal
Dusting high and low surfaces
Wiping, sanitizing and cleaning all surfaces tops, walls, furniture and ledges - Cleaning windows and glass surfaces
- Carpet cleaning
- Cleaning public washrooms – sinks, toilets, urinals, floor, walls, stocking soap, toilet paper & paper towel
- Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming floors
- Cleaning offices as required
- General ground maintenance – cleaning outside hotel which includes emptying garbage’s, sweeping, plant maintenance.
- Waste management – empty the garbage and move all trash bags to the dumpster
- Reporting maintenance issues
- Performs other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs
Qualifications
- Possess a positive attitude and work well with other team members
- Strong commitment to detail
- Strong English skills both written and verbal
- Be able to work unsupervised
- Self motivated and able to take imitative
- Reliable transportation
- Available to work during days, evenings, overnights and weekends
- Must be willing to work in Kamloops, BC
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Working conditions
- Fast-paced environment
- Variety of hours- morning, afternoon, evening, weekends, weekdays, holidays
- Standing/walking for long periods of time
Physical requirements
- Ability to pull, push, reach, bend, stoop, kneel and frequently lift to 20 pounds
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
