Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):Assist with meal planning for snacks and meals; coordinate grocery shopping; prepare and cook food following food safety standards; maintain a clean, organized kitchen; track food inventory and supplies; and follow public health regulations, policies, and procedures. Engage and support volunteers in food preparation and service; deliver food-related activities and teachable moments that promote healthy eating and cooking skills; support children and youth during kitchen-based activities and chore time; and maintain accurate records, data tracking, and evaluation processes. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills Developed:Adaptability, collaboration, communication, creativity, and innovation. Strong problem solving and organizational skills, numeracy, and digital literacy, along with technical kitchen skills and food safety knowledge, will also be developed and strengthened in this role. Qualifications:Experience preparing meals and working in a kitchen environment is preferred. Experience working with children and youth is an asset. Knowledge of food safety practices and a passion for healthy living are essential.
