About the role

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Large restaurant and hotel. Tasks: Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting. Cut, trim and prepare standard cuts of meat. Wrap and package prepared meats. Remove bones from meat. Cut poultry into parts. Clean and prepare fish and shellfish. Cut fish into steaks and fillets. Supervise other butchers, meat cutters and fishmongers. Train meat cutters. Prepare special displays of meats, poultry and fish products. Shape, lace and tie roasts, other meats, poultry and seafood. Equipment and machinery experience: Manual cutting utensil. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Standing for extended periods. Attention to detail. Physically demanding. Hand-eye co-ordination. Screening questions: Do you have experience working in this field?. Employment terms options: Evening. Shift. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years. Employment terms options: Night. Day. Weekend. Overtime available.
