Position Summary

Food Preparers provide food service support to students, staff and visitors in various locations across the Division.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• preparing a variety of hot and cold food items including baked goods

• setting up and cleaning food preparation, dining and banquet areas

• maintaining safety and sanitation standards

• operating cash register and point of sale terminal

• assisting in the maintenance of inventory

• wash and store dishes, pots and cooking utensils in compliance with Health Safety guidelines

Education/Qualifications

• diploma in Culinary Arts, Journeyperson Cook or Baker certification will be considered

• Food Safety Certification or equivalent, First Aid, WHMIS

• one year of food preparation experience

• excellent interpersonal, organization and communication skills

• ability to work flexible hours

Rate of Pay

$22.89 per hour
