About the role

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Outdoor Pool Facility Supervisor is responsible oversees the daily operations of the O’Regan’s Subaru Outdoor Pool while delivering a high level of customer service and ensuring a safe user experience at the pool. The Pool Facility Supervisor provides supervision and mentorship to the aquatic and guest services staff during their shifts. This role centers around providing on deck and facility supervision and mentorship to the aquatic and guest services staff during their shifts. Overseeing regular checks of pool equipment and pool chemistry. Ensuring a high level of customer experience and addressing the needs of the facility as they arise.

You have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and are able to work independently and as part of a team. A proven leader, you enjoy working with, and leading teams and are able to handle challenging situations with tact and diplomacy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the safety of patrons and staff at the Outdoor Pool.
  • Oversee day-to-day operation of the pool with respect to delivering a high level of customer service and ensuring safe user experience.
  • Provide on deck and facility supervision, of Lifeguards, and guest services.
  • Mentor aquatic staff and conduct staff evaluations.
  • Ensure staff and guest compliance with aquatic and facility procedures and policies are followed.
  • Provide friendly and professional customer service to all guests of the facility.
  • Handle inquiries, concerns, and complaints effectively, ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Operate and maintain the pool filtration system and water quality.
  • Conduct on-deck pool chemistry tests
  • Assist in planning and implementation of training and professional development opportunities
  • Other duties as determined by the aquatics or facility manager

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous Recreational Facility, and or Aquatics experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as an integral part of a team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must provide a satisfactory Police Criminal Records Check.
  • Must provide a satisfactory Child Abuse Registry Check.
  • WHIMIS certification.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience working with and leading teams.
  • Proven ability to handle challenging situations with tact and diplomacy.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Valid driver’s license an asset.
  • Ability to swim.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Working in a non-air-conditioned facility.

  • Contract/term position for 11 weeks.
  • 35 hours a week according to a mutually agreed upon set schedule within the facility hours of 11:30am to 7:00pm, Monday to Friday, 1:00pm to 7:00pm Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Salary: $19-20/hr.
