About The Role:
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, with one weekend in every five.
OCS are excited to be recruiting for a Landscape Gardener to join our team!
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
To work within a team to maintain the soft landscape to a high standard in a theme park environment Carry out garden maintenance including mowing, strimming, weeding, pruning and hedge cutting in guest facing areas. To carry out planting including seasonal bedding and lawn care to the highest standards. To work with and maintain a large range of landscaping machinery including tractors and implements as well as ride on mowers . Working in a safe manner at all times, complying with work based risk assessments and COSHH regulations that supports a safety-first culture within the team. Maintaining ride area safety, ensuring ride area clearances are maintained and identifying and reporting tree works when required
Key hiring criteria:
Applicant must have the right to work in the UK A level 2 NVQ in amenity horticulture (or equivalent) Proven 5 years of commercial gardening or horticulture experience. NPTC PA1 and PA6 qualification in application of pesticides Any NPTC qualifications in use of chainsaw beneficial but not essential This is a hands-on physical role and be able to carry out all gardening tasks as well as work in all weathers
