Clean Abstract.
Comfortable at reversing tractor (with a 53' Trailer).
Comfortable operating both Automatic & Manual (i.e., all gears).
Comfortable at hand-bombing.
Ability to work early mornings (between 11:30pm to 4:00am start times)
Ability to work the mentioned start times (see job description for details).
Familiar with the use of electronic logs.
Shunting experience

Class 1 Transport Driver (Permanent, Full-Time, Day)
Replacement or New Role: Replacement
Term: Permanent, FT, Day
Work Mode: Onsite
Reports to: Distribution Manager
Direct Reports: 0
Hourly rate: $32.32ph
Overtime: After 10 hours per day OR if a 6th day consecutive in schedule is worked
Dispatch time: Starts between 11:30pm to 4:00am. Must be available to work weekends & stat holidays
Location: 3404 56 Ave SE, Calgary, AB T2C 2C3
Trucks: Automatic and Manual
Routes: Local. 10-12 hr Routes (mostly stores deliveries and farm pick up on the return route)
Shunting: Yes

Duties/Responsibilities:

Conduct daily pre & post trips of vehicle.
-
Pick up, deliver and load/unload product
o Use of pallet jack to load/unload
- Use of electronic logs
- Document all required information accurately and legibly, using driver logbook, trip reports, accident/incident reports and maintenance of temperature on reefers.
- Be punctual for scheduled appointments and dock times.

Strong interpersonal skills and be able to function effectively with minimal supervision.

Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Must be physically fit, able to lift up to 50 pounds and able to handle large workload, loading trailers with pallet jacks.
