JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Position Title: Shipping / Receiving

Replacement or New Role: New

Term: Full Time Permanent

Reports to: Supervisor, Distribution

Direct Reports: 0

Hourly Range: $$23.08-$25.80

Bonus: No

Address: Lyn, ON

Shift: This department operates 7 days a week. Shifts will vary based on business needs and will be discussed during the interview

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Load store orders coming from the cooler onto the trucks to be shipped to customers
  • Verify load order are correct, strapped in properly, and have equipment that is assigned to the load on the truck
  • Unload and Receive products, complete proper paperwork, signoffs and verification of products
  • Pile various size boxes onto skids, ensuring neat, safe, and secure piles
  • Keep floors tidy of debris and broken egg; ensure the space between the pallets and the wall is clear of debris
  • Complete daily safety check on the power cart and/or stacker; report any issues or concerns to the Supervisor
  • Move pallets of eggs from the grading floor to the graded cooler
  • When moving inventory, ensure that product is moved safely to avoid breakage of product
  • Other duties as assigned

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Education preferred.
  • Must be able to lift 1-50lbs.
  • Must have attention to detail.
  • Must have a great work ethic, attendance and willing to work as a team player.
  • Must be able to work in a loud and busy environment.
  • Must be able to work in a cold environment for Order Picking.
  • Must be able to read and follow work instructions and policies on proper load procedures and Order Picking procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to work within a team setting as well as independently.
