Job Description
Our Hosts are responsible for several functions including, but not limited to, greet all guests in a prompt and friendly manner, ring in takeout and execute curbside pickup orders, seat guests, and responsible for the overall flow of the restaurant. If you enjoy a fast-paced professional work environment, are flexible, and are looking to meet some great people along the way, this is the job for you.
Responsibilities

Welcome and greet guests at the door in a prompt and friendly manner.

Answer text messages, receive and record reservations accurately in a pleasant and attentive manner.

Answer questions about food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services over the phone and in person.

Maintain cleanliness of front desk area, restocking supplies and ensuring menus are organized.

Communicate with servers as to when next tables are going to be arriving.

Monitor and observe guests dining experience, ensuring guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.

Assist with settling bills and processing any credit, debit or cash transactions as required.

Thank guests for their visit as they exit the restaurant and invite them to return.

Be ready and willing to provide support as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the manager in charge.

Assist in arranging transportation for guests if required.

Execute ad-hoc tasks are required.
Qualifications
-
1 years’ experience is preferred
-
Has worked with the Open Table program before - preferred
-
Strong English communication skills with ability to establish and develop relationships with team members, partners, and customers.

Basic knowledge of dining room, service procedures and functions.

Basic math skills, can handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.

Ability to maintain professionalism, control, and composure in difficult and stressful situations.

Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).

Valid Ontario ProServe certification is required

Open scheduling availability is a requirement.

Legally eligible to work in Canada
