Gibbons Whistler is seeking experienced and passionate Head Chefs to join our culinary leadership team across our portfolio of restaurants, pubs, lounges, and hospitality venues. From elevated dining experiences to energetic pub environments, each of our venues offers a unique opportunity to showcase your leadership, creativity, and culinary expertise. As a Head Chef, you'll be responsible for leading kitchen operations, developing and mentoring culinary teams, maintaining exceptional food quality, and contributing to the continued success of your venue. You'll work closely with venue leadership to create memorable dining experiences while driving operational excellence, team engagement, and financial performance. Whether your passion lies in elevated dining, comfort food, high-volume service, or innovative menu development, we're looking for chefs who are committed to quality, hospitality, and developing great teams.

What You Bring to the Table Proven experience leading teams in a quality-driven kitchen environment. A passion for food, hospitality, and creating exceptional guest experiences. Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills. Experience managing food costs, inventory, labor, and kitchen systems. A commitment to consistency, quality, and operational excellence. Calm, adaptable leadership in fast-paced environments. Red Seal certification (or equivalent experience) is considered an asset. A genuine passion for mentoring and developing future culinary leaders.
Your Days Will Look Like Lead daily kitchen operations and ensure exceptional food quality and consistency. Recruit, train, coach, and develop culinary team members. Support menu development, seasonal features, and ongoing culinary innovation. Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and organization. Manage food and labor costs while supporting business performance goals. Partner with venue leadership teams to deliver outstanding guest experiences. Foster a positive, accountable, and high-performing kitchen culture. Stay hands-on in the operation while leading your team by example.
