As an employee of Regency Retirement Resorts, you are a member of a highly energetic team, performing housekeeping and cleaning activities in all areas of the Resort within established guidelines and procedures as assigned. This position is 4 days per week. Schedule: 4 Days/ Week Wage: $20.00/Hour Duties and Responsibilities: Maintains a level of conduct, personal grooming and appearance that meets the standards of the Resort. Cleans, disinfects, vacuums, dusts and washes Resident’s suites, public areas, offices, and other areas as assigned. Cleans and disinfects common and staff washrooms. Vacuums all common areas. Responds to unscheduled cleaning needs due to the nature of the Resident population. Performs laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, stacking and distributing laundry. Operates washers and driers. Checks and restocks housekeeping supplies to predetermined levels. Reports damaged or inoperable equipment, furniture and fixtures to the Housekeeping Supervisor. Works toward creating a team environment within the facility through positive interactions with other departments and staff. Maintains confidentiality of all resident and organizational information and displays an attitude that shows respect and maintains the spirit, dignity and individuality of the Residents. Communicates any information to the department supervisor that may assist in maintaining the Resident’s health, safety and happiness. Familiarizes and adheres to all organizational policies and procedures. Must be tactful, friendly and extremely patient when dealing with Residents. Must be courteous and friendly to visitors and work in a cooperative manner with fellow workers. Assists in the orientation process of new employees. Performs other related duties and multi-tasking functions as assigned. Qualifications: Education and Experience Related housekeeping experience an asset. WHMIS Skills and Abilities Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Mentally and physically able to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
