This position is responsible to supervise and manage the staff and operations to ensure quality standards are met and maintained in all areas including administration, staffing/scheduling, client/customer relations, production and knowledge of systems for all aspects of the Food Services.
Now, If You Were To Come On Board As One Of Our Director Of Hospitality, We’d Ask You To Do The Following For Us
Expected to be actively engaged daily with supervision of food production, minimum of two days a week expected to be cooking. Managing front of house servers Managing Housekeeping department inclusive of afternoon and night shift Supervises, trains and inspects the performance of assigned housekeeping staff to ensure all procedures are completed to unit’s standards. Maintain responsibility and accountability for Personnel Management Functions of the housekeeping department. Personnel Management includes new associate interviews, selection, hiring, evaluation and on occasion termination in accordance with Compass Standards, Client Contract and applicable Union Collective Agreement. Coordinate and support all relevant activities of the housekeeping and linen department with a special emphasis on Infection Control and Occupational Health & Safety. Maintain responsibility and accountability for the Financial Management of the costs and expenses of the budget for the site. Develop and follows appropriate policies, procedures, job routines to meet the needs of the site. Conduct regular inventory of housekeeping supplies and order these, keeping costs in line with approved budgetary amounts. Ensure assigned staff have reported to work and clocked in properly; document late or absent employees. Document call offs, and replace for any shift and coordinate assigned staff breaks. Prepare and distribute assignment sheets to staff and review priorities. Communicate additions or changes to the assignment sheets as they arise throughout the shift. Assign designated keys, radios and beepers to assigned staff. Maintain accurate record of such assignments and ensure security of keys. Check all equipment used by staff for proper supplies, neatness, cleanliness and mechanical problems. Instruct designated personnel to correct deficiencies. Assist staff to ensure highest standards of cleanliness and service and conduct staff training as assigned. Human Resource and Labour Relations management including complete administrative and personnel files, hiring, training and discipline Managing the day to day operation to ensure all contractual service levels are met. Complete all financial reporting including payroll, period summaries and sales reports in a timely and accurate manner. Maintain appropriate budgetary and cost controls including inventory controls Customer service focus including: develop and maintain a strong knowledge of resident preferences and incorporate these preferences into service delivery; facilitating ongoing communication with all stakeholders. Implement, manage and maintain the Quality Assurance program as outlined by the company and the client, including weekly and monthly audits. Proven experience and ability to assist in menu management, food cost controls and production including monitoring and evaluating meals and service to ensure established standards are maintained. Implementation and control of a Food Safety Plan as well as HACCP, WHIMIS, and all Workplace regulations for a safe work place.

Minimum 3 years previous Food Service and Housekeeping Management experience. Excellent verbal and written English language communication skills. Proficient with MS Office Applications, Word, Excel and Power Point
