Role Description The Industrial Millwright is a full-time, on-site role based in Scarborough, ON. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing production equipment used in the processing and packaging of fully cooked protein products. Day-to-day tasks include performing preventive maintenance on mechanical systems, diagnosing equipment issues, and completing timely repairs to minimize downtime. The role involves using hand tools and power tools, aligning and adjusting machinery, and working closely with production and quality teams to ensure safe, efficient operation. The Industrial Millwright is also expected to follow all safety and food-grade maintenance standards, document work performed, and support continuous improvement initiatives in the facility. Qualifications
Strong skills in preventive maintenance, with the ability to plan and perform routine inspections and servicing of equipment. Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintenance & repair of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in an industrial environment. Competent use of power tools and hand tools for installation, adjustment, and repair of production machinery. Relevant trade certification or apprenticeship as an Industrial Millwright or equivalent is preferred. Experience in food processing or manufacturing environments, with knowledge of sanitary and safety requirements, is an asset. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to work varying shifts and occasional overtime to support production needs.
