About Ember Steakhouse

Ember Steakhouse is Grande Prairie?s first charcoal-fired Basque grill steakhouse, opening April 2026. We?re bringing a new kind of dining experience featuring Canada PRIME cuts cooked over live charcoal, an expertly selected wine list, and show-stopping tableside experiences.

Our vibe is relaxed elegance where guests feel welcome, not stuffy. We bring high quality food, live charcoal grill, craft drinks and genuine hospitality.

We?re building a cocktail program with 33+ signature recipes and we need bartenders who are passionate about their craft and take pride in every drink they make.

What You?ll Do

  • Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages to Ember?s standards

  • Execute our signature cocktail menu of 33+ recipes with consistency and quality

  • Engage with bar guests, provide recommendations, and guide them through our cocktail and wine offerings

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar at all times

  • Assist servers with drink orders and support overall FOH operations during busy service

  • Manage bar inventory, track waste, and flag low stock to management

  • Follow proper pouring standards and portion control

  • Handle cash and POS transactions accurately

  • Follow all opening, running, and closing bar duties

  • Ensure compliance with AGLC regulations at all times, including responsible service of alcohol

What We?re Looking For

Required:

  • Minimum 3 years of bartending experience

  • Valid ProServe certification (or willingness to obtain before start date)

  • Strong cocktail knowledge and ability to learn new recipes quickly

  • Personable, confident, and comfortable engaging with guests

  • Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness

  • Team player with a positive attitude

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required

Preferred:

  • Experience in a steakhouse or elevated dining environment

  • Wine knowledge or formal spirits/cocktail training

  • Experience with craft cocktail programs

  • Familiarity with Lightspeed POS system

  • Food Safety certification

Schedule

Part-time position. Evening and weekend availability is essential, as our peak service times are Thursday through Saturday evenings.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00 per hour
