Job Title: Operations Excellence Project Manager Salary: $90k to 130k
Position Summary The Operations Excellence Project Manager is responsible for leading operational improvement initiatives across manufacturing, warehousing, supply chain, and support functions. The role will work closely with plant leadership and the MNP Value Creation team to implement new processes, systems, operating routines, automation initiatives, and behavioral changes that improve productivity, quality, safety, service, and profitability. This individual will serve as the organization's internal operational excellence leader and will be accountable for ensuring that improvements introduced during the MNP engagement are successfully implemented, sustained, and continuously enhanced over time. Following the initial transformation period, the Operations Excellence Project Manager will assume ownership of the continuous improvement roadmap and drive future operational excellence initiatives across the organization. The successful candidate will be a hands-on change agent who spends significant time on the production floor, works directly with leaders and frontline employees, and converts improvement opportunities into measurable and sustainable business results.
Key Responsibilities Work directly with the MNP Value Creation team throughout the engagement to implement operational, organizational, system, and process improvements. Take ownership of all improvement initiatives following implementation and ensure results are sustained and improved upon over time. Monitor performance metrics and proactively identify opportunities to further improve productivity, efficiency, quality, service, and profitability. Lead the organization's continuous improvement roadmap after completion of the MNP engagement. Develop internal improvement capabilities through coaching, mentoring, and training supervisors, managers, and frontline employees. Facilitate monthly, quarterly, and annual continuous improvement planning sessions. Establish a pipeline of future improvement initiatives and capital projects that support business growth and operational excellence. Provide regular updates to executive leadership regarding improvement progress, risks, and opportunities.
Strategic Mandate The Continuous Improvement Manager will act as the primary owner of the organization's continuous improvement journey and will be responsible for: Partnering with the MNP Value Creation team to execute transformation initiatives and achieve targeted operational improvements. Building internal capabilities to sustain improvements long after the initial transformation engagement. Developing a culture of accountability, operational discipline, and continuous improvement throughout the organization. Identifying and leading future improvement opportunities beyond the original MNP roadmap. Ensuring operational systems, management routines, KPIs, and behaviours become embedded in day-to-day operations. Serving as the internal operational excellence leader and champion for change. Champion internal training on the Management Operating System, tools, and methodology for both new and existing team members.
Sustainability & Transformation Ownership
Key Responsibilities Work directly with the MNP Value Creation team throughout the engagement to implement operational, organizational, system, and process improvements. Take ownership of all improvement initiatives following implementation and ensure results are sustained and improved upon over time. Monitor performance metrics and proactively identify opportunities to further improve productivity, efficiency, quality, service, and profitability. Lead the organization's continuous improvement roadmap after completion of the MNP engagement.
