Role Description The Operations Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Fairfield by Marriott in West Kelowna, BC. This role oversees day-to-day hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and other guest services to ensure a seamless, high-quality guest experience. The Operations Manager monitors staffing levels, schedules, and performance, supports team members in delivering consistent service, and addresses guest feedback and service recovery. Responsibilities include maintaining brand standards, managing operational procedures, monitoring budgets and cost controls, and supporting safety, cleanliness, and compliance requirements. The role collaborates closely with the General Manager and department leaders to improve efficiency, enhance guest satisfaction, and drive overall hotel performance. Qualifications Experience in hotel or hospitality operations management, including front-of-house and back-of-house oversight. Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop diverse staff members. Solid customer service and conflict-resolution skills, with a focus on guest satisfaction and service recovery. Operational and organizational skills, including scheduling, workflow optimization, and attention to detail. Basic financial acumen, including familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control in a hospitality setting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build effective relationships with guests, team members, and partners. Proficiency with hotel management systems and common office software; ability to learn new tools and processes quickly. Previous supervisory or management experience in hotels or related service industries; Marriott or branded hotel experience is an asset. Ability to work on-site with flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as operational needs require. Post-secondary education in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience.
