About the role

Be Part of Something Uncommon

At Langdon Hall, we believe in creating more than just memorable experiences — we create a sense of place. As a proud member of Relais & Châteaux, we offer our guests and team members a haven of warmth, authenticity, and refined comfort in the heart of Ontario’s countryside.

Built on heritage and rooted in hospitality, Langdon Hall is not just a hotel — it’s a community. Unlike corporate brands, we are privately owned, values-driven, and proudly Canadian. Our culture is built on relationships: with our guests, with our land, and with one another.

If you're seeking more than just a job — if you want to belong to a team where your contribution matters — we’d love to meet you.

About the Role

We are currently hiring for a full-time Events Captain position. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading assigned sections during events by directing servers, communicating timelines and menu details, and serving as the primary point of contact to ensure seamless, standards-aligned service
  • Delivering polished, attentive hospitality by anticipating guest needs, responding promptly to requests, and consistently monitoring service quality and presentation throughout each event
  • Coaching and guiding Event Servers and new team members on service techniques, etiquette, and professionalism, while sharing performance feedback with leadership to support ongoing team development
  • Overseeing setup, service, and breakdown by coordinating floor plans, maintaining stocked service stations, supporting efficient room turnovers, and ensuring all equipment is properly stored

You’ll be part of a passionate, dedicated team that takes pride in what we do and in where we do it.

What Makes You a Great Fit

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has 2–3 years of event or banquet service experience, with demonstrated leadership potential
  • Has strong knowledge of service techniques, sequencing, and banquet standards
  • Has excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Has the ability to lead a team while remaining hands-on in service delivery
  • Has Smart Serve certification (required)

Relevant experience is always an asset — but we also believe in training for skill and hiring for heart.

Why Langdon Hall?

Working with us means becoming part of a legacy of excellence and a future of possibility. We offer:

  • A supportive and respectful workplace culture
  • Competitive compensation and gratuities
  • Complimentary meals while on shift
  • Uniforms and free parking
  • Team appreciation events
  • Opportunities for internal growth and cross-training
