We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced and passionate full time Restaurant Manager. The candidate must be available to work Wednesdays to Sundays, with a minimum of 3 closing shifts. Role Description As the Restaurant Manager, you will monitor all aspects of the day-to-day operations of a full-service upscale dining room, while having full responsibility of all floor staff. This is a salaried position requiring a combination of back-of-house management (hiring, training, scheduling, timesheets, POS menu updates), and on-the floor front-of-house supervision. Managing labour and cost controls, recruiting, team building, maintaining cleanliness and presentation are also key components of this role. The successful candidate will have several years of hospitality experience, with a clear understanding of hotel and food service operations. Requirements: To be considered for this position, the right candidate should fulfill the following criteria: Minimum 2 years front-of-house senior management in the restaurant industry in high volume, upscale establishments. This includes the ability and willingness to perform all front-of-house activities efficiently and professionally; Be polished and professional in presentation, communication, coaching, and attitude; Excellent wine knowledge with a clear understanding of beer and spirits trends; Be willing and able to support the entire front-of-house team in all capacities and in all day-to-day activities; Be able to deliver excellent customer service to our clients and guests; Have a clear understanding of restaurant financial aspects, being capable of delivering budgeted targets, and be able to justify a profit & loss statement; Have flexibility in availability, as mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays are all required; Excellent Oracle Simphony POS knowledge (and/or similar point of sale systems), payment processing systems, and effective working experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as online reservation systems such as OpenTable; Must have Serving It Right and Food Safe certification, and legally entitled to work in Canada. Must be located in the Vancouver, B.C. area. Applications from outside the Lower Mainland will not be considered.
