Our team is committed to providing quality food, respectful customer service, safe food handling, and a welcoming environment that reflects the values of Shelly's Indigenous Bistro.Position SummaryThe Front End Team Member delivers professional and efficient front-of-house service for takeout, delivery, catering support, and customer pickup operations. This role ensures accurate order management, positive customer interaction, clean and organized front-of-house areas, and a consistent customer experience while reflecting the values and cultural respect of Shelly's Indigenous Bistro.Core Responsibilities Greet guests in a warm, professional, and culturally respectful manner Manage order flow, customer pickup, and customer inquiries Take orders accurately in person, by phone, or via app Communicate orders clearly to kitchen staff Prepare, verify, and hand off food and beverage orders promptly and accurately Package and distribute takeout and delivery orders Operate the POS system and process cash, debit, and credit transactions Assist with daily cash-out procedures as assigned Maintain clean and organized customer pickup and order hand-off areas Maintain cleanliness of the front counter, beverage stations, customer pickup areas, and guest-access areas Restock front-of-house supplies, including napkins, condiments, cutlery, and cups Address customer concerns professionally and escalate to the Front End Lead or General Manager when required Maintain confidentiality of business and customer information Follow all workplace, food safety, and service standards Support teamwork and assist other departments when operationally required Qualifications & Experience Previous customer service or restaurant experience is an asset Experience handling cash and POS systems is an asset Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Professional demeanor and positive attitude Reliable attendance and punctuality Training & Certification Requirements Manitoba Food Handler Certification, or willingness to obtain it, is considered an asset WHMIS Certification is considered an asset but is not required Knowledge of Manitoba food safety regulations is an asset Serving It Safe certification is considered an asset On-the-job service and operational training will be provided What We Offer Competitive wages based on experience On-the-job service training and opportunities to build customer service skills Supportive team environment Indigenous-owned and operated workplace Employee meal and discount programs, where applicable Employment Requirements & Working ConditionsThis position may be full-time or part-time based on operational needs.
