Key Responsibilities: Greet residents and guests in a courteous and professional manner Take meal orders and serve food and beverages efficiently and accurately Ensure tables are properly set and dining areas are clean, organized, and inviting Assist with light food preparation and plating as needed Perform cleaning duties including wiping tables, sweeping floors, and maintaining sanitation standards in the dining area, light and medium level cleaning duties. Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines Dishes, sweeping, mopping and cleaning side duties Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members Support residents with special dietary needs or mobility challenges Be adaptable and responsive to the changing needs of the community and team Maintain a respectful and positive attitude toward residents and coworkers Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required Qualifications: Previous serving or customer service experience preferred Food Safe Level 1 certification and Serve- It-Right (or willingness to obtain) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in working with seniors Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Willingness to take on cleaning tasks and support other team members as needed Working Conditions: Shifts scheduled based on operational needs Standing and walking for extended periods Light lifting and bending may be required Warm, community-oriented environment $18.50 starting hourly rate
What you’ll do
Greet residents and serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining a clean and inviting dining environment. Perform cleaning duties and support residents with special dietary needs or mobility challenges.
Requirements
Previous serving or customer service experience is preferred along with Food Safe Level 1 and Serve-It-Right certifications. Candidates must have flexible availability and a genuine interest in working with seniors.
