Position Summary The Server position is concerned with seeing to the individual or group needs when it relates to Food and Beverage Service during a Banquet event. This role will pay an hourly rate of $16.00-$19.00 CAD and is tip eligible Benefits for Part-Time roles: Pension matching EVERGREEN ROLE: Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis; there is no application deadline Responsibilities Ensuring the Food and Beverage service to groups during events at the Saint John Trade and Convention Centre is met with quality service Adhering to time lines set within the Banquet Event Order and Sales team Meeting and exceeding guests expectations Ability to work independtely or within teams during the day breaks, and meal periods such as Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner as outlined within the Banquet Event Order Responsible for setting the tables with the appropriate cutlery, crockery and glassware for the events Maintaining the cleanliness of the table between courses until the event completion Ad hoc duties as required Qualifications Ability to work flexibile and, on occassion, long hours based on business and event levels Effective organiziation and communication skills Ability to lift heavy weights, on occassion, depending on event requirements Ability to multitask changing priorities depending on food service and guest needs Previous experience in a similar role would be considered an asset with Buffet and Table Service Strengthened by our Differences.
