Activities include cleaning, mopping and dusting all areas in the hospital. Other work would include floor care (scrubbing and waxing floors), shampooing of carpets and chairs, waste removal (hazardous waste and regular waste), chemical spill cleanup, laundry tasks, room set-ups, window cleaning (interior), some salt application during winter months, isolation room cleaning, flood and bloodspill clean ups. About You We would love to hear from you if you have the following: Grade 12/GED or equivalent work experience required. Effective communication skills. Preference will be given to applicants with cleaning and floor care experience. Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred. The Utility Worker is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the hospital through tasks such as mopping, dusting, and floor care. They also handle waste removal, laundry, room setups, and specialized cleaning for isolation, flood, and blood spill incidents.

Applicants must have a Grade 12 diploma or GED equivalent and effective communication skills. Preference is given to candidates with prior experience in cleaning and floor care.
