Role Description The Bartender is a full-time, on-site role based at Naturally Pacific Resort in Campbell River, BC. In this position, the Bartender prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, crafts signature cocktails, and ensures consistent drink quality in accordance with resort standards and local regulations. Daily responsibilities include engaging with guests, recommending drinks, taking orders, and coordinating with serving staff to provide an efficient and welcoming bar experience. The Bartender manages bar inventory, stocks supplies, maintains cleanliness and safety in the bar area, and handles payment transactions accurately. The role also supports special events and resort dining operations by setting up bar stations, adhering to responsible service practices, and contributing to a positive, team-oriented work environment. Qualifications Strong Customer Service and Communication skills to interact with guests professionally and build a welcoming atmosphere. Proficiency in Bartending and Food & Beverage service, including drink preparation, menu knowledge, and safe handling practices. Accurate Cash Handling skills for processing payments, balancing tills, and following financial procedures. Previous experience in a bar, restaurant, or hotel environment; resort or upscale hospitality experience is an asset. Knowledge of responsible alcohol service and relevant local regulations; valid Serving It Right or equivalent certification preferred. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and to stand for extended periods. Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based setting. High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in hospitality or bartending is beneficial.
