About the role

Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work setting: Restaurant. Tasks: Determine the size of food portions and costs. Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods. Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances. Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food. Order supplies and equipment. Supervise kitchen staff and helpers. Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment. Screening questions: Are you authorized to work in Canada?. Do you have experience working in this field?. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years. Support for newcomers and refugees: Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition. Does not require Canadian work experience. Support for youths: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth. Support for Indigenous people: Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers .
