Identify and remove unauthorized or disruptive individuals in a professional manner. Use handcuffs only as a last resort when escorting individuals off-site. Ensure continuous lobby coverage Limit cellphone use to required hourly check-ins with Garda Control; headphones/earbuds are not permitted during shifts. Qualifications for Hotel Security Guard Be authorized to work in Canada Hold a valid BC security license Advanced Security Training (AST) Certificate - Required First aid certification - an asset Exceptional customer service skills Minimum 6 months of security experience Strong report writing and technology skills Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus Physically able to stand, patrol and walk for extended periods Alert, detail-oriented, with strong situational awareness Proficient in basic phone & computer skills This could be more than a job! The security guard is responsible for maintaining a visible presence, managing access control, and conducting foot patrols to ensure property safety. They must also provide exceptional customer service, address incidents, and document security concerns through detailed reports.

Candidates must hold a valid BC security license and an Advanced Security Training (AST) certificate. A minimum of 6 months of security experience and the ability to work on-site in Vancouver are required.
