Maintenance Worker

Description:

The Université de Sudbury is seeking a skilled maintenance worker. Under the direction of the Manager of Facilities and Security, the successful candidate will perform general facility maintenance duties. Work is directed by the Manager; however, the successful candidate must be capable of working with minimal supervision which requires demonstrated initiative and judgement.

Tasks include general maintenance and repairs as well as some custodial duties. The individual will participate in daily operations and will help resolve problems in order to ensure minimal interruptions to operations.

Requirements:

• Ability to work in both official languages (French and English)
• Knowledge or certificates in installation, construction and HVAC systems or an equivalent combination
• Valid driver’s license
• Physical fitness (including the ability to lift up to fifty pounds)
