Your Opportunity

The primary responsibilities of this position include:

• Prepare and serve food, following food handling procedures
• Ensure proper operation of all equipment
• Maintain a clean and organized food service area, including stock room
• Notify supervisor when additional inventory is required
• Greet visitors and respond to inquiries in a friendly and efficient manner
• Process payments following established cash handling procedures
• Sell merchandise and related items
• Assist with receiving and stocking food & drink deliveries
• Work in accordance with the Conservation Halton's Safety Policies & Procedures and the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and all other related manuals.
• Other duties as assigned

Your Qualifications

• Previous experience in the food industry and customer service is preferred
• Strong communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with both guests and various levels of Conservation Halton Staff
• Previous point of sale, Clover device, and cash handling experience is an asset
• Interest in hospitality, restaurant, resort management is an asset
• Ability to travel to a site not serviced by public transportation
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds, stand, and walk for long periods of time
• Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
• Ability to work at any food location at Glen Eden
• Successful candidate will be required to provide a Criminal Record Check (CRC), to verify the absence of a criminal record for which a pardon has not been granted (if over 18 years old)
• Successful candidates must complete and/or provide a copy of Food Handler Certificate prior to first day of employment. Reimbursement provided.
• Smart Serve Certificate is an asset
