Essential functions:
This position is a leadership role. The Supervisor is expected to lead and develop people.
Lead by example. Setting a benchmark of performance in areas of innovation, motivation, and animation
Participate as an active member of the Panorama Health and Safety Committee
Responsible for the thorough training of all policies and procedures at Panorama Mountain Resort
Develop a strategy for recognizing valuable employees and celebrating success.
Ensure effective management of staff scheduling, training, development, and motivation.
Develop staff through coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results and providing informational, educational opportunities and experiential growth opportunities.
Manage labor costs and other related expenses.
Conduct regular staff meetings, training, and product knowledge sessions.
Assist all co-workers and peers as required.
Provide coaching and mentoring based on guest survey and Employee Pulse Check results.
Conduct seasonal performance reviews with staff.
Conduct morning staff briefs defining sales goals and task expectations.
Complete payroll administration weekly in an accurate timely fashion
The Supervisor is expected to grow our business!
Business Practices:
Maintain store standards in appearance, merchandising stock levels and guest service.
Assist manager in preparing and executing the operating budget.
Assist manager in establishing and maintaining a merchandising plan for the location.
Provide immediate response to product and service shortfalls.
Analyze sales and communicate to team.
Assist with product selection during buying seasons and in-season which may include trade show attendance.
Place reorders and special orders
Handle damaged good/warranty return to suppliers.
Ensure store is in capable hands during absence.
Identify potential key year-round employees and develop succession plan.
Continue supervisory training by attending company sessions.
Scheduled to work on the floor.
Ensure customer follow-up.
Conduct weekly meetings with manager
Accountable for all security issues involving cash handling, theft, liability, and premises.
Operate a computer P.O.S. system and all related procedures.
Additional projects required by store manager.
Experience/Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of Ski/Board retail/rental experience.
Proven leadership skills.
Self-motivated, detail oriented, and able to work under pressure.
Positive, energetic attitude towards guests and peers.
Excellent communication, organizational, and administrational skills.
Proven cash handling and report experience.
Computer literate.
Ability to see tasks through to completion.
