Summary of Responsibilities:
This position reports to the Regional Director, Tour & Leisure Development, and will work as part of a team to exceed Canada’s Western Mountain Region (CWMR) Tour & Leisure goals, and individual Tour & Leisure goals for Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, Fairmont Banff Springs, Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, and Fairmont Chateau Whistler.
Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
Maximize revenues from wholesale and receptive accounts as assigned with a particular focus on Taiwan, China and consortia accounts
Steal market share from competitors to assist in gaining further market penetration and increase revenues.
Development and commitment to the execution of an innovative Sales action plan to target new business and exceed quarterly and yearly Sales goals
Initiate and manage creative in market sales missions to achieve and exceed sales goals
Work with local, provincial and national tourism boards in attracting and hosting agent business development trips to each destination to grow the business and increase destination interest and awareness.
Work with Accor Global Sales Office sellers in assigned GEO’s to maximize opportunities
Active participation in wholesale and retail trade marketplaces and conferences
Maximize new market opportunities based on economic market changes, and changes to air lift to the destination to implement strategy and long term goals.
Negotiate rate agreements that create a win/win for the client and organization
Coordinate and financially manage sales trips and industry events within territory.
Work closely with each hotel to develop strategy in line with individual and regional property goals.
Conduct training sessions withagents, operators
Create agent incentives that encourage reservation agents to book Fairmont over competitors.
Work as part of a team to maximize revenues from Consortia accounts.
Support and assist with the development of Regional Tour & Leisure Sales Coordinator(s).
Participate in prescribed training and special projects.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree and/or Hotel Management Degree and minimum three years of successful hotel Sales Manager experience
International sales experience with a focus on Asia an asset
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
Enjoys challenges, works well under time pressure, strategic and is extremely committed to the job
Articulate, self-motivated, results oriented and flexible, supporting a team-based approach goal attainment
Proven ability to prospect new business, and to maximize potential of existing accounts
Ability to build strong personal relationships with clients and GSO's
Computer literate with Opera SFA/S&C, and mastery of Microsoft Office Suite
Mandarin Language skills would be an asset
Ability to travel within Canada, United States and Internationally as required
Valid driver's license
