Cantina Norte in Edgemont Village is hiring for Bartenders! We are looking for positive, energetic and active hospitality professionals to join our experienced team as BARTENDERS. If you like funky latin music, spicy food and big tips - Cantina Norte is the place for you. ### \*\*Responsibilities\*\* - Be awesome! - Juggle serving guests at the bar with making drinks for the service well; - Prepare house-made syrups, juices, batches, and infusions; - Maintain a clean and well-stocked bar space at all times; - Provide upscale, detail-oriented service whilst making connections with guests and creating regulars; and - Serve as an example to the rest of the front of house team with exemplary product knowledge. ### \*\*Requirements\*\* - 1 year+ of bartending/serving experience with 1+ years of total restaurant experience; - Strong communication skills; - Knowledge of BC wine, classic cocktails, Tequila/Mezcal, craft beer, and Mexican cuisine; - The ability to anticipate guests? needs before they are even aware of them themselves; - The desire to be a part of a team, with a sense of shared responsibility for your coworkers? success; - Must have a valid Serving It Right and the ability to work legally in BC (work permit/visa, SIN number, etc); and - A ?work hard, play hard? mentality. ### Non-essential Assets - The ability to operate a manual espresso machine (dosing, puck preparation, shot timing); - Experience using POS and QSR software; - Wine/spirit/beer knowledge certifications (WSET, Cicerone, etc); and - A valid first aid certificate. ### \*\*Why us?\*\* - Competitive salary based on experience + tips; - Medical and dental benefits; - Daily discount on staff meals; - Staff discounts; - Comfortable dress code.
