Starting their day before dawn to craft nourishing breakfasts for the eager powder-seekers, and diligently crafting exquisite dinners for those content with the day's adventures – it's a day filled with challenges, yet one that offers substantial fulfillment. Baldface Chefs are skilled gastronomic artists who are well-acquainted with the demands of the kitchen. Over the course of a 7-day shift, they adeptly serve beautifully presented meals to over 50 guests for dinner, along with family-style dinners for 24+ staff members. These Chefs expertly lead their team while maintaining a refined culinary approach. Even amidst their responsibilities, they carve out time for outdoor pursuits, whether it's a hike to the ridge or a quick session on the rail situated right outside the kitchen's entrance. Responsibility Overview: Collaborate with the Head Chef to meticulously plan and execute guest meals, as well as post-adventure offerings such as soups and appetizers. Take charge of designing and executing daily breakfasts for both guests and staff, in addition to creating staff family-style dinners. Contribute to the seamless flow of kitchen operations on a daily basis. Play a pivotal role in meal planning and crafting alternative dishes to accommodate special dietary requests from guests. Uphold the highest standards of food quality and adhere to the sanitary and safety guidelines mandated by Interior Health regulations. Assist in monitoring inventory levels and preparing requisitions for food supplies. $$: The starting rate for this position is $270 per day. Your actual day rate will be determined by your level of related experience with the skillset required for this job and your seniority. After your initial interview, we'll be able to tell you exactly what your rate will be.
